heartbreaking health update<\/a> as he battles terminal <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/cancer\/\">cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/radio\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">radio<\/a> personality and TV presenter, 74, is best known for presenting The James Whale Show and appearing on <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/celebrity-big-brother\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Celebrity Big Brother<\/a> in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>In 2000 he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Then, in 2020, James <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2020\/08\/17\/broadcaster-james-whale-diagnosed-cancer-13137982\/\">revealed he was diagnosed with cancer of the brain, spine, kidney, and lungs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/06\/07\/james-whale-makes-heartbreaking-admission-terminal-cancer-update-23356049\/\">Four years on<\/a>, he\u2019s now said he just has a few weeks left to live.<\/p>\n<p>On the latest episode of his show, The Talk presenter explained how he was now in \u2018my last couple of weeks\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Last time I saw my oncologist, he said I probably have only got weeks to go,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"646\" height=\"969\" src=\"https:\/\/techteamhost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/SEI_182886976-4a19.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-23475664\" alt=\"LONDON, ENGLAND - DECEMBER 05: James Whale attends the 'TRIC Christmas Lunch 2023' at The Londoner Hotel on December 05, 2023 in London, England. It may have been you. Maybe we’ll catch up for the last time.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>During the show a caller named Paula got in contact, with James then explaining how emotional he\u2019d been about confronting his mortality.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I spend a lot of time crying. And it really, it’s a bit embarrassing, Paula, to be quite honest with you,\u2019 he told her.<\/p>\n<p>‘I’m heading into the sunset, and I talk about it regularly on the show and you know it’s interesting because now everybody talks about it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Not me, not mine, but their own, you know, they don’t feel that they’re doing it quite right without having a cancer to talk about.\u2019<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"646\" height=\"824\" src=\"https:\/\/techteamhost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IP_213686-92d8.jpg\" class=\"article-image wp-image-23475652\" alt=\"James Whale, a disc jockey.\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t<\/div><figcaption>He is best known for presenting The James Whale Show (Picture: ITV)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier this month James also admitted things were now becoming \u2018very, very difficult\u2019 and he had started wearing make-up on air to appear healthy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018To anybody else who is in the final stages of cancer, you have my sympathy. I know exactly what you\u2019re going through; I do know.
